UPDATES I plan to add more VEH's as time goes on. I can also be Emailed for requests on certain VEH's. But I can only do so much with so much time. So feel free!! I have a strong Dedication to my work so I will Update my site at the least once a week. So my collection should grow larger day by day.
September 10, 2001 I just added a few Beta VEH's of the Le Mans class. They are yet to be finished as soon as I get my steering wheel back... but your free to try them out to get a feel of where thier headed
September 12, 2001 Sorry I havent completed much of the VEH's. My work has been frozen because of the lack of a wheel. Never the less I will get one by this weeked so dont fret. I will promise to finish at least the posted Le Mans VEH's by next week. or maybe soon. Until then...
September 17, 2001 Good news!! I have a wheel. Bought a new force feedback USB wheel from Comp USA on Sunday. And I'm back into full swing. Right now I'm working on the New Silmar season VEH's with the Le Mans. I just finished the LMGTS. And As Stuart requests... I will produce the rest. I'm sorry folks But I cant release the new LM VEH's until Stuart has approved :-). The ones on my site now are beta. So dont think thier the final copy. I made alot of changes.
September 21,2001 Hello everyone. I'm sorry for the quiet week. I've been playing and replying... doing and redoing the VEH's for the GT500 in JGTC. As the season moves on... I will not be able to continue. Basically for political reasons. To make a long story short? I made the VEH's for JGTC. The Boss man didnt accept them. He changed them to be easier.. I didnt approve. so I just decided to stay at the sidelines. Never the less it doesnt discourage me from makeing my "realisticly as possible" VEH's. I've redone the GT500 VEH's with a little changes here and there... regualate tirewear... downforce... torque output... and drag. Many other tiny things were implemented. Engine response... and several other coefficiencies. Anyway... enough with the greek. Basically I did a slight overhaul on the mclaren and the NSX. and added the new JLOC Diable GT1. Courtesy of the Mad Factory. :-) anyway... thier on the JGTC board. have fun! And if you have any questions or requests Email me.
September 23, 2001 As you all that have tried my VEH's know how merticulous I am about getting my VEH's to be EXACT PC simulation quality. To the finest point of the subject... today I reached a new plateau. I was just on the web browsing for Skyline GT-R sounds and found a Nissan Skyline Fan Site in "New Zealand"!!! Anyway. on the site I found a DOS program called car test.exe for those who already know what it is and have seen it. you can imagine how intrigued I was. for those who DONT know it... Its a DOS program that simulates... and when I say simulates I mean it. It allows you to mathematicaly input specs on ANY automodile... ANY drive train... ANY engine type. Allows you to input everything including wheelbase and desired gear ratio's. Then it uses its program writing code and If all specs match up to a "sensible" means it will actually simulate every performance profile for that automobile. I mean it runs - 0-60 runs - skid pad lateral G - Milage city and highway - TRUE engine compression - exact modeld Torque and Power curves - quarter mile - Power bleed offs pending on gear - clutch simulations - turbo/Non-turbo/Twin turbo simulations - so so so much that I cant even remember all So basically what I calculated for about 4 hours and simulated in the program and in SCGT was to get a mathematicaly EXACT match of performace of ALL the GT500 cars in my set and the real life counterparts. Needless to say after I was done (with sore thumbs) its all done. And I'm about to release it on my Website. I think this should be my final release on the GT500 VEH. It doesnt get more realer then this in SCGT Try them out... tell me what you think!
October 1, 2001 Hello again everyone. I've been swamped with alot of work lately... so I'll get straight to the point. The more and more VEH's I do... the more I learn how to get better and better... like they say... theres always room for improvement... New!!!! GT500 set Patch Ver 4.0 - I've instilled the new Viper GTS-R VEH courtesy of M@D69... the guy works harder then me! - I've updated very little changes here and there in the set... had to redo some compression ratio values in the engines, and reduced brake strength. This will basically let you let you floor the brake pedal a little bit harder until your wheel's begin to lock up. Its a life saver for driving in the rain. - This has nothing to do with the GT500 set BUT. I've been doing various VEH projects for some seasons... And I would like to share it... so... every time I update from now on. I will list the set of VEH's I have done. Or perhaps I'll just upload them as a link so you can download them straight. Its undecided yet... but either way will make my job a whole lot easier... -I have redone ALL the VEH files also for the LMP900/GTS cars on my page... you should try them out if your interested. I hear word of a new Corvette model on the way... that should prove interesting!! Needless to say the Viper is beautiful and drives like a true performer... try them out. Now the Yr 2000 set of the GT500 is complete. My next project will be the GT300 set. As soon as I get some specs...
October 2, 2001 It took a good couple of hours last night and testing... And I've come between a means where ALL the cars are perfectly matched... much much better stand off racing now for the NSX. The NSX WAS my main focus last night. I was able to get a better feel of how the V-tec pulls the car up to its peaky revs... and still keep the specs withing realistic numbers... It was a triumph so great I almost cried ::sigh:: Ah well its done... and so here you are... This is the new NSX VEH... I think you Honda lovers will love me for it.
Updated Honda NSX VEH
October 8, 2001 Just had a little problem with the Skyline's and thier Idle and abrupt turbo hit. Thanks to Eagle I was able to address the problem so here it is. I've updated the Skyline's Idle to be more accurate and its power curve as well. I'm sorry I've been so busy lately tending to other league projects. Not much to update... but I try to please. Have fun! Updated Nissan Skyline VEH
October 10, 2001 I've been up all night doing this. I went downstairs and recorded the sounds from Gran Turismo 3 unto a tape via my sony composite system then to the computer to .wav file via Sonic foundry. I was able to do sounds tonight for the Nissan Skyline Toyota Supra Honda NSX. Whats new? Nissan Skyline has the special uptone pitch blended with the V6 growl it always has had. And I was able to get the turbo compressor sound to it!!! Now when your at high revs you slowly begin to hear the turbo kicking in with that special "hissss" The supra also having turbo has a special hiss at high revs... Its lower engine note gives some what of a "growl" now... expecialy heard outside of the vehicle. Due to the supra's exhaust you really hear the bass in the engine better. The NSX now has the correct sound to it. And is a High Rev so it actually sounds now like your hitting 9000 RPM. I also increased the volume because the engine being right behind the driver you hear it a little better. ALL the sounds for the external have been lowerd so you can concentrate more on your tone for proper gearing... The Idles for EACH car have also be resampled... I also plan to add a new "pit" sound. The one I have sampled... you hear EACH bolt being taken off the car and the wheels falling onto the ground as new ones are being put on. Where did I get that from????? hehe. Ferrari Challenge of course. In time there will be more to come so dont worry. My next is the Viper and the Diablo... (now for all your Gran Turismo Guru's out there... we all know that the Diablo is NOT in the American Gran Turismo... so I went back to part 2 of GT and using the Vector M12 engine. I'm still very sceptical about it... but I'll see if I can get something better! you know how I love my accuracy. clean like Ice baby! HAVE.... FUUUUUUN!!!! Honda NSX Sound Nissan Skyline Sound Toyota Supra Sound Turbo Shift Sound
October 12, 2001 Seems like I'm trying to touch on the realism of sound lately aside from my work on the GT300 VEH's I've been trying to give all of you better sound for the game... Remember.... CRAPPY the pit sounds from the ISI release is? Well nevermore quote this raven because I bring you new Pit sounds. You actually hear EACH of the four tires being taking off and dropping to the ground and new tires being put on! Even the Hydro-jack is revamped. All with stereo sound to match exterior and interior. I also just finished the New Viper sounds... interior and exterior... tell me what you guys think! New Dodge Viper GTS-R Sounds New Pit Sounds!
November 06, 2001 Ah yes... so many cob webs! I'm sorry to all of my fans who have been observing my progress... Life took a turn for the busy side lately. But I have no forgoten my hobby and obligation :). I just wanted to let you know what should be comming soon. -The new JGTC GT300 Set complete -ETCC and ESTC Class -Formula One series... The specs will be general abroad all the vehicles... I have also lost my E-mail address and now have a new one... I've changed that for anyone who needs to contact me on anything... anyway... back to work. :) there should be some life back in the site soon enough!
December 11, 2001 Yeah thats right... I'm back peoples. I'm so sorry about my lack of presence. Alot has happened in my life. and my Puter. Anyway. not to waste anytime. I got a gift for all your GT500 lovers... new and improved. Should be up in maybe 12 to 24 hours. But... heres what I posted in HIGH GEAR NEW GT500 VEH set I couldnt post the news on my beloved speed sims so I guess I'll just say EVERYTHING I need to say here For those who've been kinda keeping up. I've done a WHOLE lot with my new VEH set.... for those who have driven them in the past... its NOTHING like you've driven with my stuff before. I'll just put little tidbits on my updates.... - all the intertia values for every chassis have been rewritten to coencide with body height width wheelbase weight and engine placement. - tire values have also be rewritten also... - tire compound defualts to medium - tire pressure has been lowerd to enhance tire life - there is a Greater difference between every tire compound no - tire grip is also lowerd to give TRUE *bitchin* hardcore simulation feel - with certain gear settings you can coax the cars into slight drifts and power slide yet still have a balanced enough weight transfer to recover from MORE slides. - braking and accel is much more difficult tires will begin to lock up easy at about 60% braking input (like tha real thang)... and gearing too fast and close to the torque peak will easily spin your car right into second gear from first. - every chassis is MUCH more distiguished.... especially the difference in the MID-REAR and FRONT-REAR cars. - Front Rear tends to feel more stable then Mid-rear and is slightly easier to feel accustom to... - Mid rear is quite touchy and agile on turns yet can be inherently unstable and can be easily spun around if griven beyond its boundaries. takes more time to master. - ya gotta learn how to race all over again... every car has its own attitude problem. Car Chassis traits - Nissan Skyline.... feels heavy yet light.... its torque is tremendous and its accel is not easily masterd. Due to its twin turbo lag and hit... revs must be kept at mid range through turns.... YET flooring the pedal escaping a turn is NOT adviced! Weight transfer on the skyline feels like a rock. quite stiff and reliable but can be easily compramised by over torqueing the rear tires.... (which will happen often to US beginners). But when masterd it can be/ WILL be fear when in your opponets rear view. - Toyota Supra.... feels nimble and mid range weight transfer feel. Well rounded, and good with accel. Its accel and braking is easier to master if tuned right and can be quite rewarding. Although timid seeming... the car likes to be driven hard and you would be suprised how HARD it can be pushed. Its torque is good enough to carry its light body up to 60mph within 3 seconds. And can be easily managed if power slid. - Honda NSX.... is the more manageable of the 3 mid rears. Needs to be reved good and high to be a pontent contender. You can apply MORE gas with the NSX since your torque hit doesnt come till the 7000RPM range. Its weight tranfer feels like a true mid-rear. But Mid-rear can be unpredictable in the wrong drivers hands... Although more manageble then the mclaren and Diablo... you will need practice to bring out its true power. (which I do love personaly). - Mclaren GTR.... is my pride and joy. VERY difficult to master and wields IMHO the best feel of the mid-rears... If tuned and driven right its weight transfer on turn apex's feel like GLASS. Very smooth. But yet it wants to control its driver like it has a mind of its own. This one really takes practice. Its accel is like that of the supra's... fast but uncertain... (like a scorpio) ouch. - Dodge Viper.... has still maintained its ferocity... a bully of the front-rear and can easily light a fire up the Mid-rears asses. The most difficult of the Front rear to master... Its accel is tremendous and its handleing is up to par of the Supras. Its added weight is felt but Its tremendous large tires componsate for too much body slide. But dont rely on them too much because due to its skyline-like torque it can be an animal to its name sake. - Lambo Diablo.... the true monster of the whole pack... above Viper power... skyline torque... and Mid-rear engine placement. hitting up to 600 HP at 7000RPM this cars V12 is beging for a challenge. It makes your scared to floor it. Yet its good weight transfer coaxs you through turns. The heaviest of the GT500 at 1200kg. But the most powerful. Its weight is shown more so if entering a turn with little attack angle. Understeer as well as oversteer are easil achieved. Its accel is as fast at the vipers but is hard to master because of insesant tire spin if a rookie is behind the wheel. All these cars have thier own personalities now... and are all fun to master... I recieved help from actual racer/friends who take thier rigs up to Road Atlanta on the weekends for some throw down. All cars have been tested by pro's so I know I'm pretty accurate with this set. But there is ALWAYS room for improvement. I warn you.... The AI now has trouble taming the cars... BUT I did ALOT of consideration for them and actually improved them. But now the AI has VERY little room for error as well as YOU. The VEH's have been edited here and there for AI driveability. So the cars drive as good as the waypoints on the tracks. Wild and erratic movements are kept to a minimum and several other little issues were resolved. All the cars are evenly matched to the BONE. So no dominators... I'm sorry for this exhaustive post but I didnt even get to say everything I've done with these cars. But they are very difficult if driven carelessly but I can promise you thier every bit as fun if your a true simulation lover. I will be posting these on my Website within 2 days... so dont worry. I'm just about done! Thanks guys.... take care... ja ne
December 12, 2001 They are here... I had some last minute trouble and decided to make a separate set of AI VEHs. If you use mainly ONE car I suggest you use the AI files... because the AI files where mainly designed to keep the computer on the track MORE. If you use ONLY the HUMAN VEH's the computer will drive moderatley well... but will be more prone to lose control with little effort. So its all your desicion. Anyway... its ok. because I didnt need to change the AI behavior traits to make the AI driveable... I will release the AI set tonight. I PROMISE!!!!!!!!! But the problem is BEAUTIFULY resolved where the computer can drive on just about any course and I got every car to stick to a better racing line without having to change any AIWs or behavior values.... how I did it you ask? hehe... its a seeecret. I also stoped the incesent spining out of the computer and almost ALL the tracks. But yet they are still all evened out. And they perform as if there have been no changes to them. I've learned ALOT about the AI of SCGT from all the testing of my VEH's. the AI thinks pretty simple in this game. So you just have to know exactley where to hit and only have to do it once... Thanks for all the help guys. the files should be up in a few on my website. YATAI!!!!! YATAI!!!! YATAI!!!!!! Tomodachi-mas... watashi wa YATAI!!!!! hontouni!!!! ::slap:: Got to the JGTC section to download the GT500 set version 5.0 have fun and feel free to E-mail me about anything
